I aim to provide a safe place where we can work together to explore the emotions around the aspects of your life that are causing you concern by providing my experience in Counselling and Psychotherapy to help you through your journey.
I am a professionally qualified Person Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist with many years of experience working with Adults, Children, and Young People.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to its Ethical Framework.
I have a particular interest in Trauma, PTSD, Addictions and Fear and its connection with Anxiety and Depression and the impact that this has on our relationship with ourself and others.
I work within the Person Centred modality together with integrating other approaches like Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping), Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), Mindfulness and Trauma Informed Practice, using a mind body connection to help meet my clients needs. I also Coach to help clients facilitate change in their life.
I also engage in regular continued professional development and statutory clinical supervision as a duty of care to my clients.
I offer online remote appointments via Zoom or Telephone at this time which provides a safe, confidential and flexible space for us to work from with the same positive outcomes as face to face therapy. This relationship between Counsellor and Client is very important to me and I believe is core to facilitating change.
Counselling and Psychotherapy provides a confidential safe place for you to explore your thoughts and emotions, to help you better understand the personal difficulties you are facing.
Being genuinely heard, valued and respected, allows you to reconnect with the trust and value in yourself as we journey throughout our sessions together.
Counselling allows you to find greater self awareness through the mind body connection to facilitate your potential for psychological change, growth, and personal fulfilment.
As a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, I am committed to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) code of ethics for Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists. The ethics, my commitment and good practice to my clients is really important to me.
Your confidentiality is taken very seriously and will only be broken in extreme circumstances. I maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance and adhere to my legal responsibility to my clients for General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and registered with the ICO.
Each client is the primary focus of my attention throughout our Counselling sessions. I commit to develop and protect the client's trust within the space I provide for the client to talk freely.
I commit to listening, respecting and valuing the client as the Counselling relationship exists for the benefit of the client.
